Tie Guan Yin
Oolong Tea
Tie Guan Yin is a premium, semi-oxidized oolong tea sourced from Anxi, Fujian Province.
It is characterized by its tightly rolled, ball-shaped leaves and a traditional light-to-medium oxidation process.
Upon contact with hot water, the leaves immediately release a distinct orchid aroma. The flavour profile is clean and brisk with a medium body, featuring a natural sweetness comparable to honey or light stone fruit. This tea produces a smooth, slightly viscous mouthfeel during consumption. It concludes with a characteristic returning sweetness, known as Hui Gan, that remains in the throat.
