This slightly mature leaf from the Darjeeling region offers a mature, golden hay coloured cup with a balanced level of astringency paired against fresh floral and grass notes. An excellent example of a second flush Darjeeling.
Contrary to popular belief a First Flush does not necessarily mean a higher quality of tea, this indicates the seasonal pickings – with first flush being earlier in Spring and Second Flush later on in the season. A Second Flush offers a whole new world of flavour from a First Flush.
