Organically cultivated tea from the Volcanic island of Jejudo, located in the southern peninsular of Korea. The Volcanic rock in this region acts as a natural filter for rain water which feeds the tea plant throughout its growth cycle.
The name ‘Woojean’ translates as ‘before the rain’, as the tea is handpicked before gogu (Grain Rain 20 – 21st April).
Harvesting at this time ensures a beautifully delicate and sweet flavour profile that is like no other leaf. The cup is a light bottle green with sweet floral notes and a subtle undertones of gentle moss.
