Kukicha, or also known as Bōcha, is a blend of tea stems and twigs, don’t under-estimate the lack of leaf here, this is a very fresh tasting, invigorating infusion.
This beautiful stem is a fresh full-flavour tea with a much lower caffeine level than other typical sencha leaves.

The roasted version of this, Houjicha, is equally deserving of tea fanatics attention, nutty, smooth woody notes and a natural caramel savouriness.
