A very popular Chinese leaf which influenced the European tea lover‘s idea of green tea.
Chun Mee meaning “valuable or precious brow”, in part due to the leaf shape resembling concubines and mistresses of long ago Emperor’s of China.
It is grown in south eastern China near the river Yangtze. If you find this tea too strong, pour away the first brew and enjoy the second, milder brew afterwards (see the second row in the brewing guide).
