About Hebden Tea

Hebden Tea is a fast paced, dynamic brand with a focus on providing excellent customer service and the finest quality teas from around the world.

We are a York based company with two unique shops, one located on the Shambles and the second on Minster Gates.

 

Since 2010, Hebden Tea has offered both retail and wholesale services, providing amazing teas, tisanes and infusions, as well as a host of accessories, to customers and businesses across the globe. We have a catalogue of over 250 different kinds of tea and tisanes available and we pride ourselves on availability as well as quality products.

Full Time Sales Assistant

As a Full Time Sales Assistant you will divide your time between working face to face with customers and our business partners, offering professional advice on specific teas and tailoring our unique and extensive range to suit their demands. You will receive support and training as soon as you stand on the shop floor.

The Full Time Sales Assistant team also support our administrative development, working on online descriptions of products, marketing and sales and further developing the brand to reach new business partners.

This is a diverse role and would suit someone looking to engage in all aspects of the tea trade. Your time will be divided between the shop floor and admin work, this includes: making sales, answering customer queries, responding to phone calls and emails, liaising with business partners, packing and weighing teas, POS instore displays, and general duties.

Part Time Sales Assistant

Part Time Sales Assistants are predominantly based on the shop floor, working to secure sales and providing a fantastic customer experience to all who walk through our doors. Part Time staff are just as important as our Full Time Team in that they support the overall running of our stores.

As such your main duties will include making sales, cash handling, advising customers on our product lines, packing and weighing of teas, cleaning, and general duties.

Flexible hours (inclusive of weekends).

Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for passionate people with an eye for culinary detail to make appealing dishes to accompany our expanding tea portfolio in our new venture ‘The Hebden Tea Experience’

Our menu will include: paninis and lite bites, snacks and small culinary delights to compliment our range of drinks.*

Kitchen staff will be responsible for the following: Ensuring a clean and food safe workspace, presenting food items in an appealing manner, working to deadlines, offering creative input for menu ideas and communicating/working effectively as a part of a busy team.

Waiting Staff

Waiting Staff will be based in the ‘Hebden Tea Experience’ and be responsible for ensuring the Hebden Brand is communicated effectively.

This role will require an energetic and enthusiastic person, preferably with experience in waiting tables.

The main duties of our waiting staff will be: serving hot drinks/beverages, clearing tables, advising customers on specific products including flavour profiles and taste, general duties and ensuring excellent customer service is maintained throughout.
